My Practice

Passion. Commitment. Focus.

THE WHY

Getting to the root cause.

Over a quarter of the inmates in the Dallas County Jail have diagnosable mental health issues, effectively making it the second largest mental institution in the state.
In my practice I work tirelessly to find a case resolution that honors community safety while at the same time addressing the underlying causes, which may lead to criminal behavior. Prison is for people we are afraid of, not for people we are mad at.

MY PRACTICE

Areas of Expertise

Mental Health

Tackling the stigma and discrimination to which people with mental conditions are often subjected within the legal system.

White Collar

Experience representing clients in white-collar crimes.

Theft

Theft can also be classified as either a felony or misdemeanor depending on the situation. The level of punishment will depend on the severity of the specific theft charges.

Fraud

Fraud includes bad checks, credit card abuse, health care fraud, insurance fraud, deceptive business practices and more.

Drug Crimes

If you are convicted of a drug offense, you face more than incarceration and fines. The additional consequences of a drug conviction may reverberate throughout your life.

Assault

Assault is among the most common violent crimes with which defendants are charged. And as with most violent crimes, the possible consequences of a conviction for assault are usually significant.

Family Violence

As you know, we live in the internet world and the last thing you need is to have a crime of violence on your record. A conviction for assault or domestic violence could mean the loss of your job or future jobs.
